I think we need rules reguarding "freelancing" firefighters. It`s bad when the dedicated members of a department cant get out, and do their jobs , because of these " thrill seekers" who don`t want to belong to just one department, but go to every fire in the county.
I think people should be on one department, and if they are asked, go help another department in need. They dont need to be out there, getting in the way, causing more harm than good.More often that not, these people are new to firefighting, and have very little to no experince. It`s dangerous for them to be out there.

My name is Edmund Marco and it's a pleasure to sign your guest book. I work for an advertising agency in London. Our agency represents direct marketing companies that are involved in the marketing of products as seen on TV in England. Most of the infomercial products come from the U.S. but then again we export our talents as well. My brother has appeared in infomercials in the U.S. advertising various products. I think it's hilarious that English people respond so well to American products while Americans tend to respond well to sales people who have an English accent!

Jesus, make sure my daddy doesn't get on the building that fell down" is what Gabriella Farrell, 5, says as she prays for her father who is one of the police officers working at 'ground zero' in Manhattan.
Dear brothers:
Family and friends console each other during the memorial for Ray Downey, which was held in Deer Park.
The sites are dedicated to our Firemen, Police officers, Armed services, Vets and to all the GOD fearing true Americans.....
LOOK, we have no regrets about going on the job..... it was hitting the age that our bodies don't respond like they should, the shortages of money, bad drug programs, lying PBA leaders, 3 PBA lawyers going to jail for stealing our money along with one PBA President.
Where did the $200,000,000 dollars go from the sale of our retirement home?
Why was our burial fund taken from us?
Why did a fund to bury us go from $5000 to $500?
Why did Mary jo White stop her investigation of the corrupt lawyers and pba leaders? Did she find that the trail led to ALBANY? To the GOVERNOR? To the Mayor? To the new York city Council? Where is Phil Caruso? What did he take? We all know one of the corrupt convicted PBA lawyers bought Caruso a new JEEP with a red ribbon on it and delivered to his driveway with our money.. Lawyer Hartman was spending our money at a rate of $80,000 weekly at the race track while in the company of the mob....The mob gave him the moniker of "the mad bomber" for spending so much money at the track. Can you imagine a crippled NY city cop or firemen who were injured in the line of duty and their drug program doesn't cover their bills...drug cap in $5000 for the whole family and a disabled cop or firemen have yearly drug bills of 10 thousand dollars?
The PBA officers get two separate salaries, one from the job-the other from the PBA and retire on half of both which equals a full salaried cop and the give our benefits away?
The PBA officers only pay a $3 dollar co-pay while we pay from $20 to $180 for medication to keep us alive?
During what we call "the taxi cab ride" or "the train ride" the PBA excluded the disabled cop and firemen from receiving a yearly Christmas check which comes from the profits of our pension fund money (which is about 40 billion dollars) ?
The courts, the NY legislature, Gov. Pataki, Mayor Giuliani, the city council say the disable are not entitled?
This is our money, we put this money into this fund and it's OUR MONEY!
The courts are corrupt, they're all corrupt and plain on stealing our money in the year 2030 when we all our dead, so their grand children will share in , by the year 2030 hundreds of billions or even a trillion dollars, the booty being arranged now for better roads, urban renewal, small business loans to minorities while our families go without today? When you mess with our families as so called brothers....you lose the right of the oath of silence, loyalty and you have become our bitter enemy. You're lowest of lows and we will continue to ask people to help the disabled of new York city police dept. by writing letters or e-mails, to prove our gripe go to our sites and check out our sites. Do the 9-11 firemen and cops in the recovery team know that most are having lung and eventually heart problems and for their bravery they will wind up like us and will not receive the VSF (variable supplement fund check of $12,000) at Christmas time? To put it bluntly every brave or heroic cop or firemen will be penalized when and if they get hurt in the line of duty WE BE PENALIZED for their bravery! This means if you hide and don't do you job for twenty years you get rewarded....please people don't you see the wrongs and penalties they bestow on cops and firemen doing their job?
They next time a burring building some may stay out of harm's way and YOU DIE?
Don't you see the conundrum YOU'RE in? YOUR LIVES ARE AT STAKE.
We must change that ILLEGAL law that punishes bravery and for all retirees to receive the $12,000 Christmas check...
To my Active and Nationwide brothers we need your help...write and yell and send our site to the legislature for them to read. What people never realized was a small group of angry firemen at ground zero sent the message to the world that by taking to the air (TV) and busting through a cop barrier and being arrested was the best thing that ever happened.....The firemen were right and giuliani, the FD com. Van essen and PD Com. Kerick were wrong...all three are too eager to write their books....P.C. Kerick taken department pictures he had no right to take for his book....The firemen and the citizens who were waiting for their loved ones to be recovered and to be buried with honor were in for a shock because the recovery was to be curtailed and the big equipment was to come and haul off the bodies of their loved ones with the debris to a garbage dump where the seagulls and crows awaited. The cops at the scene where their brother firemen crossed the line refused to stop them....It was guys like PC Kerick henchmen (gutless bosses) that tried to stop the bereaving firemen.....They arrested heroes .....NO sympathy for these men suffering deeply. Where's the humanity? Where's the compassion they showed the cop killing n-word -MUMIA? Where's Ed Asner, Susan Sarandon, Woody Harrleson, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Mike Farrell, Paul Newman, Ramsey Clark, Ossie Davis, Whoopi Goldberg, Peter Coyote? What those few firemen did was SO amazing and everyone missed it...they made GIULIANI fall to his knees and capitulate. Giuliani increased the men in the recovery attempt by doubling the crew....the citizens gain and a few brave firemen have to suffer...no way! These brave firemen stopped Giuliani and the two rotten to the core commissioners, along with the city council to cover up evidence with new buildings. They are about to hit the world with a boom shell of a story...proof that the epa and environmentalist pulled the asbestos out of the buildings while they were going up...Blueprints called for asbestos around columns!
We go to the battle lines....this our last opportunity to unite LET'S ROLL!........ We can do this kind of thing all the time...
The retirees are ready to picket for the active men and WE hope the active helps push pension reform for all.

. . . an innocent man is in jail , wrongfully convicted, on June 8, 1999.
Charles 'Chuck' Schwarz http://www.freeschwarz.com/,
a former New York City Police Officer convicted in a high profile sexual assault case. He was sentenced to fifteen years without parole.
According to newly discovered evidence, Chuck was unjustly convicted due to the fact that the jury failed to hear crucial exculpatory evidence.
The Federal Judge, Nickerson declined to grant a new trial (based upon newly discovered evidence). The case now will go back to the Appellate Courts challenging Judge Nickerson's ruling.
Brief's to this challenge are due by October 5, 2001.

I must say this for the umpteenth (1980): pleas: Ask the leaders of any retirement Group, club, organization, association what have they done for you in the last 30 years? (the 200 year COLA was due to the coattail syndrome) they have done nothing, we are nonentities to them....They supplement their drunken deviant lifestyle with parties, trips to and fro, paid gas bills, paid telephone, etc. etc. for 40 years with NOT DIME PUT IN OUR POCKETS....
We need to picket, boycott, email blitzkrieg until we get what we need!
Who handles our pension funds...we want to know their backgrounds, how much do they make, do they tie our money up so we can't use it, who gave them this power, are we not allowed to say anything about where are money goes, do some of the companies support left wing groups and minorities, do we invest in American copanies only?, we want to know ALL!
This man (John Gilleeny) has what it takes to fight the city and all the fast-talking fools of villainy...give him a ring....He has a righteous last name!!!!! He has no connection with our news service!
Ninepins9@aol.com.... fighting for disabled, active, pre-68ers, the elderly firemen, fighting graft and corruption on part of the powers to be, fighting for the widows and orphans, founded the ny city burn center, NYC firemen
